First Paid Engagement

Understand the business before deciding what to change.

The Business Growth Assessment is a structured commercial investigation designed to replace assumptions with evidence, identify material constraints, and establish what deserves attention first.

It is not a generic audit, a sales presentation, or an automatic proposal for implementation.

The first decision is whether the paid investigation is suitable. Booking the introductory call does not commission it.

Why The Assessment Exists

The cost of implementation begins before anything is built.

If the underlying constraint is misunderstood, even competent execution can be directed at the wrong problem. The assessment exists to improve the decision before increasing activity.

01

Independent from implementation

The assessment is completed before any implementation scope is recommended. The answer is not shaped around a capability Pinnacle Engine wants to sell.

02

Commercially proportionate

The scope varies with the business, its objectives, available evidence, risks, dependencies, and the decisions that need to be made.

03

Evidence-led, not certainty-led

Important conclusions are cross-referenced. What is known, inferred, uncertain, or still unverified should remain visible.

04

Useful without further work

The Business Growth Intelligence Report is intended to retain value whether implementation is completed internally, by an existing supplier, or by Pinnacle Engine.

Why It Is Paid

The investigation is the professional engagement.

The value is not a checklist or a route into a sales proposal. It is the structured questioning, information gathering, independent investigation, cross-referencing, diagnosis, prioritisation, and written commercial reasoning required to reach a responsible recommendation.

Separating this work from implementation helps the recommendation remain useful even when Pinnacle Engine does not deliver what comes next.

Proportionate Scope

Investigate what the decision requires.

These are possible areas of investigation, not a fixed checklist or a promise that every assessment examines every item. Scope should remain relevant to the business and the commercial questions at hand.

01

Commercial context

  • Business model
  • Commercial objectives
  • Positioning
  • Target market
  • Offers and pricing
02

Customer journey

  • Website
  • Lead generation
  • Search visibility
  • Advertising
  • Sales process
  • Customer retention
03

Systems and evidence

  • Marketing performance
  • Customer behaviour
  • Automation
  • Internal systems
  • Reporting
  • Operational processes
04

External context

  • Competitor landscape
  • Industry research
  • Commercial observations
  • Dependencies and risks

What may be needed

Enough access to test the important questions properly.

Depending on scope, this may include commercial objectives, available analytics and performance data, relevant systems and process access, and conversations with people who understand how the work currently happens. The exact request is confirmed before the engagement begins.

Scope And Investment

The fee follows the investigation required, not a generic package.

The assessment is paid work with standalone value. Scope and fee are discussed during or following the Growth Fit Call, then exact deliverables, fee, timetable, and terms are confirmed in writing. No work begins until the proposal is agreed, and no implementation commitment is required.

What Shapes The Scope

  1. 01The breadth of the commercial questions under investigation
  2. 02The quality and availability of existing evidence
  3. 03The access, complexity, and number of connected systems
  4. 04The commercial risk attached to the decision being considered

What The Proposal Confirms

  1. 01Purpose, scope, boundaries, and intended assessment outcome
  2. 02Access requirements and the responsibilities of each party
  3. 03Report format, review conversation, and delivery timetable
  4. 04Fee, payment terms, and any separately scoped implementation options

Primary Assessment Output

Investigation becomes a usable commercial decision resource.

The Business Growth Intelligence Report explains what was found, why it matters, what deserves attention first, and the reasoning behind the recommended order of work.

Its value comes from the clarity of the evidence and reasoning, not from page count or visual volume.

Governing question

What should this business do next, and why?

Independent value

The report remains useful whether implementation is completed internally, through an existing supplier, or through a separately agreed Pinnacle Engine scope.

Structure only. No client information, findings, scores, recommendations, results, or assessment outcomes are shown.

After The Report

The recommendation does not remove client choice.

Implementation is optional and separately scoped. The assessment should still create value if the client decides not to continue with Pinnacle Engine.

01

Implement internally

Use the report to brief an internal team and retain delivery ownership.

02

Use an existing supplier

Give current specialists the evidence, priorities, dependencies, and commercial reasoning behind the recommended work.

03

Request a separate scope

Ask Pinnacle Engine to scope relevant implementation only where the recommendation and working relationship are suitable.

Assessment Questions

Clarity before commitment.

The process should be understood before a business decides whether the paid engagement is appropriate.

Why is the Business Growth Assessment paid?

The assessment is the professional work: structured questioning, information gathering, independent research, evidence review, cross-referencing, diagnosis, prioritisation, and the written Business Growth Intelligence Report. Charging for it separately protects its independence from any later implementation decision.

Is the assessment a sales tool?

No. It is a standalone commercial investigation. Its recommendations should remain useful even if Pinnacle Engine does not complete any implementation, and no recommendation should be created simply to generate further work.

Does every business receive the same assessment?

No. The methodology remains consistent, but the scope should be proportionate to the business, its objectives, available evidence, risks, dependencies, and the questions that need to be answered.

Is implementation required afterwards?

No. The client may implement internally, continue with an existing supplier, engage another specialist, ask Pinnacle Engine for a separate implementation scope, or decide that no immediate action is justified.

What if we decide not to continue with Pinnacle Engine?

The Business Growth Intelligence Report remains the client's decision resource. It is intended to explain the evidence, priorities, recommendations, dependencies, and reasoning clearly enough to be useful without a further engagement.

Does the assessment guarantee growth?

No. It is designed to improve understanding and decision quality. Commercial outcomes still depend on factors including the market, offer, resources, client decisions, implementation quality, and conditions outside any one provider's control.

Begin With Fit

Understand the engagement before deciding whether to commission it.

The approximately 20–25 minute Growth Fit Call explains Pinnacle Engine, walks through the assessment booklet, answers practical questions, and tests mutual suitability. It does not perform the assessment.
